The French Wine Scholar Study and Certification program provides current, accurate and in-depth information on the wines of France.
Developed and administrated by the Wine Scholar Guild with the support of the French Ministry of Agriculture, this specialization program is designed for advanced students of wine, whether professionals or serious wine hobbyists.
The French Wine Scholar Program covers French wine law, grape varieties, viticulture, winemaking and all of the French wine regions including Jura, Savoie and Corsica. This core body of knowledge is important whether you sell wine, buy wine or teach about wine.

16 & 17 September, 9:00-4:00

30 September & 1 October, 9:00-4:00

Exam: 21 October, 10:00-11:00
Venue: Sherbrooke, 11819 St. Albert Trail, Edmonton T5l 5b5
Cost: $1,250 (includes instruction, wines, FWS manual and examination fee)

Course Prerequisites: No pre-requisite required but WSET Level 3 Award recommended.
Textbooks: Manual provided
Material and Supplies: 6 ISO tasting glasses (not provided)
Student Evaluation: The Unit 1 examination consists of a 100 question multiple choice paper. A score of 75% or higher is required to pass
